Microphone • Introduction
PRELIMINARY
Features
The VoiceLift Microphone features the following:
Lightweight pendant microphone — The VLP 102 pendant microphone is made
of lightweight and impact-resistant polycarbonate material, and can be worn
comfortably around the neck or clipped to clothing.
Feedback suppression Advanced, integrated DSP enables automatic feedback
suppression while enhancing high frequency consonant sounds to maximize
sound quality and intelligibility.
Two microphones per classroom — The VoiceLift microphone supports up to two
pendant microphones in each classroom. The microphones can be used by
teachers and students, as desired.
Volume and Power/Mute buttons — The pendant microphone contains easily
accessible buttons on the sides to raise and lower the volume, mute the sound,
and power the microphone on and off.
Instant Alert e-mail messaging — The VoiceLift receiver can be wired to enable the
teacher to send e-mail alerts by pressing the microphone Volume button when
assistance is required.
Auxiliary line input — An auxiliary input connector on the microphone enables
input from an MP3 player or other source.
Battery power — The VLP 102 pendant microphone is powered by a single NiMh
or alkaline AA battery. NiMh batteries can be recharged via the VLC 102
charging station or a wall charger.
Charging station — The VLP 102 desktop charging station holds and recharges up
to two VoiceLift microphones simultaneously.
Mounting options — The VLR 102 receiver is compact and can be mounted on a
wall or ceiling, or to a junction box.
Expandable coverage — The optional VLR 102 SR secondary receiver provides
expanded coverage for large or odd-sized rooms.
